The Dolce Vita in New York City

At New York City’s Gotham Hall, the exclusive Swiss watch brand Longines, launched its new Mini DolceVita collection.

La dolce vita, in addition to Fellini’s renowned film, is a very Italian concept that encourages people to enjoy life. Therefore, the heart of “the city that never sleeps,” welcomed the most important celebrities and sportsmen to enjoy a dolce notte.


In a delicate atmosphere, the guests were surrounded by flowers, fruits and the gelato stand, the brand presented a sophisticated piece created with a wide range of options.

The star model of the new collection dazzles with a case framed by 38 IF-VVS Top Wesselton diamonds and a stainless-steel bracelet with 198 links. The classic painted Roman numerals stand out and the blued steel hands are highly legible against the light tones of the dial.


The new circular cosmo dial is set within the rectangular case and is visible through a resistant sapphire crystal. It’s characterized by subtle contrasts with a silver background, a matt white hour counter, a silver inner circle with a sunray effect and a matt white round small seconds hand.


Longines CEO Matthias Breschan took the stage and welcomed a guest of honor, Suzy, the Longines Ambassador of Elegance, and award-winning South Korean superstar. He then presented the Mini DolceVita collection and introduced the new campaign film which was produced in New York City and features Jennifer Lawrence, then invited the actress to join him on stage.


“Elegance is an attitude. Of course it is!” said Jennifer Lawrence, after talked about the qualities that draw her to the brand and particularly to the new timepiece. “I’m thrilled to present the Mini DolceVita piece tonight alongside the Longines team,” comment Longines Ambassador of Elegance.


Mr. Breschan said, “The Mini DolceVita is a powerful expression of quiet luxury and contemporary elegance. These stunning jewel watches are not only built on a rich heritage, they are also contemporary models for dynamic, spirited women, such as our guests of honor tonight.”

Heritage and tradition



Mini DolceVita builds on the legacy of the historic watchmaker’s most beloved women’s line – inspired by a Longines legend from 1927 and, of course, the original DolceVita family was launched in 1997.

That collection originated the now-renowned slogan “Elegance is an attitude” and brings it to the present day for a new generation, where, as Breschan alluded, “quiet luxury is the ultimate luxury.”


Longines offers diverse designs of the new Dolce Vita, some available with or without diamond settings. All pieces in the collection have a rectangular stainless steel case measuring 21.50mm x 29.00mm, 30 meters water resistance and are powered by a high-precision L178 quartz movement.

The Mini DolceVita watches have been created in an impressive range of color options and configurations. There are four pieces with diamonds to choose from different fashion colors: mint green, ivory white, serene blue, and blossom pink options. The alligator straps match the color of the outer square of the Roman rectangular dial, and the guilloche effect inner square creates a chic contrast. Golden Roman numerals and hands give a three-dimensional effect, completing a unique aesthetic image.

With a reduced profile, pure softened lines, and a choice of a newly-designed stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap in a color that matches the dial, it is as trendy as it is elegant.
